Jude Duffy

Jude Duffy is a registered architect with over a decade of experience delivering complex, high-quality buildings across Ireland. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from University College Dublin and began his career with award-winning practices, most notably Wejchert Architects, where he worked as Lead Project Architect.

During his time there, Jude played a central role in the delivery of significant public and commercial projects, including No. 70 St. Stephen’s Green, Wexford Courthouse, and Waterford Courthouse — guiding each from early design through to completion. His background in carpentry, combined with experience in residential, educational, and healthcare architecture, brings a practical understanding of construction and a strong respect for detail to every project.

Jude also specialises in BIM management. While at Wejcherts, he worked exclusively in BIM and contributed to the practice’s adoption of advanced digital workflows, helping to deliver mandatory Level 3 project requirements and improve overall project coordination.

Our Mission

A detailed architectural model of New York's historic Penn Station with arches and stairs, made of wood or similar material.

Our mission at JAKU Architects is to deliver clear, intelligent design that responds to the needs of each project and its context. We approach architecture as a practical and thoughtful discipline, focused on creating spaces that work well, age well, and feel appropriate to their place.

We use technology and open exploration to understand challenges, test ideas, and make better decisions throughout the design process. Our goal is to produce work that is considered, efficient, and quietly distinctive — architecture that supports everyday life without unnecessary complexity or spectacle.

By staying curious, adaptable, and committed to good design, we aim to contribute useful, lasting work to the built environment.

Our Values

The work of JAKU Architects is grounded in a set of values that guide every decision, every drawing, and every collaboration.

  • Design with Purpose
We believe architecture should be clear, honest, and rooted in real human needs. Every space begins with intention.

  • Curiosity & Exploration
We approach each project with an open mind — testing ideas, challenging assumptions, and seeking solutions that elevate the ordinary.

  • Collaboration & Respect
Great architecture emerges through dialogue. We listen closely and engage meaningfully with clients, communities, and consultants.

  • Craft & Detail
We value precision. From concept to construction, we are committed to refined, enduring design that stands the test of time.

  • Innovation Through Technology
We embrace digital tools not as novelties, but as essential instruments that bring clarity, transparency, and confidence to the design process.

  • Responsibility to People & Place
We design with care — considering context, longevity, and environmental impact to create architecture that contributes positively to the world around us.
